Above is our means of
conveyance. We loaded up the Exploder
and took a little trip. Our put-in
point was next to a really neat old truss
bridge. The river was about 20 feet
below where we were, so it was quite the
adventure to get the canoe down. We
loaded it with everything and lowered it
with a rope. We only had one shot
because the bank was so steep, so it's a
good thing we remembered everything! Here is a little better
view of the cool bridge. It had a
wooden deck with two tracks to drive down.
All the boards had about two inches between
them, and it was a little nerve racking
walking on. A little jump would shake
the whole thing. Pretty cool. Once underway, we had the
river all to ourselves. It was so calm
and relaxing. Unlike the Muddy Mo we
had to navigate at the end, this river had a
nice lazy current. Here is two thirds of the
canoe crew. I, of course, could not be
in the picture because I left my floating
tripod at home. We all took turns in
the middle relaxing. I got the most
attention in the middle, as most of the
people along the banks seemed to think I had
it made being paddled around by two good
looking blondes. I just didn't have
the heart to tell them that one was my
sister and the other her married friend...
they will just have to think I was a pimp.
Oh darn. See that huge mass of

That's the Muddy Mo. It's named that
for a reason. It's FILTHY! We
didn't swim ONCE! This is where we
camped. We looked forever to find a
nice flat spot to camp. Kind of hard.
We finally came across a place and set up
camp. It was a pain. Once all
the weeds were paddled down we made dinner.
Brats and Kraut and plenty of beer to wash
it down! YUM!
